The outdoor pool was so refreshing, perfect for cooling off after a day of exploring. The shared kitchen was fully stocked, making it easy to whip up a quick meal. Loved relaxing on the terrace and using the barbecue.
Oh, just the lovely sound of kids running around and crying all day long, really added to the peaceful jungle ambiance.

From the moment we arrived, we felt like part of the family. The warm welcome and genuine hospitality made us feel instantly at home. The cleanliness of the place was top-notch and Nadia was always there to help us with any questions or recommendations. The location was perfect, with easy access to all the best spots in town. The apartment and the whole property were beautifully designed and well-maintained. The pool area was a favorite spot of ours. The owners were friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The room service and fresh towels every day were a nice touch. We would definitely come back to this incredible place.

The property was absolutely beautiful and well-maintained. It had a lovely garden and a refreshing pool that I enjoyed. The location was perfect, just a short walk away from the town center and all the restaurants and shops. It was also tucked away enough to provide a peaceful and private atmosphere.
One downside was that there was no air conditioning in the room. Although it got chilly at night, it was still a bit uncomfortable without AC. However, they did provide a ceiling fan which helped.

Beautiful, clean rooms with spacious comfy balconies overlooking the pool in a jaw-dropping garden. Only 15 mins walk from the centre. Fridge in room and access to kitchen to cook meals if you want. The staff are mind-blowingly helpful, especially Henry. I was travelling alone and got stuck in a storm and closed roads, but with Henry's super friendly and caring help, I made it to the airport. Highly recommended and would return, but bring rain boots during rainy season!

Brand new, beautifully designed with a luxurious pool. Very dedicated owners. Super tasty seafood paella made by Tonet. Helpful and amazing staff. Quiet location, 5-minute walk to town and beach. Cleaned rooms with powerful, hot showers. Pool/beach towels provided. Saw hummingbirds and a sloth in the garden. Lots of bars and restaurants with good veggie options. Warm and welcoming atmosphere. Extremely clean place. Nadia knows all the sweet spots. Bikes available for rent. Must visit in the area.

At Black Bamboo, we got great value for our money with an impeccably clean room and all the amenities we needed. The location, though on the edge of town, provided a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The staff, especially Nadia and her family, made us feel incredibly welcome and offered helpful tips for exploring Puerto Viejo.
Breakfast delights could be improved with more variety and options to choose from.
